This is a light way to enjoy smoked salmon. The fresh cucumber cups hold in the salmon with a dollop of sour cream and sprinkle of chives and dill. Bite sized and deliciously paired with our Trencadis White Blend or Sparkling Albarino!
Ingredients
- 1 package smoked salmon
- 1-2 English cucumbers
- 1 jar capers
- Sour Cream
- Fresh Chives
- Fresh Dill
Instructions
- Cut cucumber into ½ 1 inch wedges, depending on the size of the cucumber.
- Carve out inside of cucumber but not entirely.
- Fill hallowed out section of cucumber with smoked salmon.
- Top with a dollop of sour cream.
- Garnish with a few capers and a sprinkle of fresh dill and/or chives.
Notes
You can use any type of smoked salmon. I enjoy the type that has an herb crusted edge to add a bit more flavor and pizzaz to the presentation.

I love to take a moment to photograph the “mise on place” which is the French term for having all of your ingredients ready for when you begin cooking. I bought this little wooden spoon on our recent trip to Costa Rica!
I loved the way our Trencadis label looked beside this art piece we bought in Barcelona!
