Padrón Peppers make a delicious and quick tapa to enjoy as a side dish or appetizer. These peppers are originally from Spain and some can be a little spicy so be careful! You're never quite sure what you will get! This recipes is best enjoyed with our classic Terra Alta Vineyards Albariño!
Ingredients
- ½ lb Padrón Peppers
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Flaky Sea Salt
Instructions
- Heat 1 or 2 Tbsps olive oil in a frying pan to medium-high heat.
- Add the peppers and stir until all sides are blistered.
- Remove from heat.
- Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt.
- Enjoy immediately with our Terra Alta Vineyards Albariño!
Notes
Try not to rinse the peppers unless you have to. But if so, make sure they are really dry before you fry them so they don't splatter.
You can also substitute Shishito peppers which are an Asian version. They tend to be longer and the "meat" isn't quite as abundant. I prefer the Spanish version when you can find them!
