Recipe: Feta Mousse
Ingredients
- 6 oz feta cheese, crumbled – (1 1/2 cups)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 teaspoon unflavored gelatin, softened in 1 1/2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- Combine crumbled feta and cream in saucepan and heat until most of the feta is melted.
- Stir in softened and transfer to blender. (I just use that little hand held one.)
- Puree until fairly smooth and add white pepper to taste.
- Pour into a shallow bowl and chill until set – about an hour.
- Before serving, bring to room temperature and beat it until soft and fluffy.
Serving Idea:
Serve with fresh vegetables such as colorful tomatoes, red onion, red & yellow & orange peppers, zucchini and kalamata olives with oregano. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
