Cheese Central is downtown Lodi’s little gem! They bring a cosmopolitan edge to our small town life by providing us with some of the world’s finest cheeses and other hard-to-find specialty products. With so many products on offer that pair beautifully with our wines, we are definitely Cheese Central regulars. Ask Cindy Della Monica, the owner, about wine pairings if you’re not sure. She is a wealth of “cheesey” knowledge!
We use Spanish style chorizo (nothing like the Mexican soft chorizo) in many of our recipes here at Bokisch Vineyards. Hard to find? Not anymore! Thinking about chorizo reminds me to mention a cheese that you may not have ever tried. Ask for a taste of the Buenalba next time you’re in Cheese Central. This goat cheese is made with smoky pimenton which gives it a flavor reminiscent of the Spanish chorizo. It pairs especially well with Albariño!
