On our way to Barcelona we had a 6 hour layover in Copenhagen. We took the metro into the main city stop and walked along the docks taking in the sights. Eventually we made it to the Little Mermaid statue which is over 100 years old! (Yes, it predates the Disney movie).
We stumbled upon this amazing local restaurant, The Pescatarian, and since we were on the early side, they squeezed us in and we had an amazing meal. We highly recommend it!
The dishes were creatively prepared and played with seaweed, roe and other items from the sea!
I loved the way they served the butter! On a smooth stone and sprinkled with a dusting of crushed parsley & sea salt!
Back to the train station to get to the airport for our flight to Barcelona, we noticed all of the bicycles in the metro stop. So many people ride bikes that they have incorporated these colorful parking areas throughout the underground system.
